Central Pacific Construction completes construction projects at SLO Ranch Farms & Marketplace

Frank Cueva, general contractor with Paso Robles-based Central Pacific Construction, has announced the completion of a new construction project at SLO Ranch Farms & Marketplace in San Luis Obispo.

The project was for a total of 4900 square feet, providing spaces for four businesses, newly located at the marketplace. Each project included building the entire structure from the ground up. Every aspect, including kitchen, dining areas, storage, fixtures, all appliance installation, doors, windows, exteriors, and décor, plus extra touches requested by each business.

Additionally, the team built a food court, complete with amenities and furnishings, as well as exterior seating and features for the SLO Ranch Farms & Marketplace.

  • Sushi Table is a 1000-square-foot project that includes light wood elements imparting a Japanese theme.
  • Baby Bear Biscuit, specializing in gourmet southern-style biscuits, is a 1000-square-foot restaurant that includes a glass-surrounded custom seating area so patrons can watch the chef in action. A lighthouse has been installed at the ceiling area for flair, and the exterior is a European façade.
  • Vintage Cheese is a 1900-square-foot custom project with a large window allowing patrons to watch the artisan dairy and cheese processing. The customized processing room contains large silos and is finished with tiled floors and walls. Another custom room allows patrons to view the aging room. The display room showcases the artisan cheeses for sale in custom-installed display cases. The exterior of the cheese shop is a combination of distressed siding, tile walls, and custom colors on the walls, including custom large light fixtures.
  • Shekamo Grill is 1000 square feet of Persian kabob and fusion dishes. The Shekamo Grill has a Mediterranean feel, including a custom, colorful mural that separates the dining room from the back of the restaurant.

“Each restaurant had different construction components that helped create the unique atmosphere. As a team, these diverse requirements were a welcome challenge,” said the Paso Robles general contractor. “We also worked closely with planners and code inspectors to make sure each building fit into the overall theme at the marketplace as well as final inspections by building, health, and fire departments.”

SLO Ranch Farms & Marketplace

The SLO Ranch Farms & Marketplace, located at 871 Froom Ranch Way in San Luis Obispo, CA, is an authentic farm-to-table experience. The marketplace offers fresh produce, family-friendly activities, restaurants, craft beverages, shopping, and more. The marketplace is the modern-day testimony to an agricultural history that grew from farmland to home for the State Fair in 1893. In the early 1900s, the land was returned to farming, producing crops for over 75 years. Today, the SLO Ranch Farms & Marketplace is a tribute to its rural heritage when families traveled to the nearest town for supplies and to socialize.
